Speedrun
There was family with a mother named Mary, father named Bill and a son named Fred. And Fred was a speedrunner and if you somehow don't know what that is, speedrunning is where you try to beat the game as fast as you can and he is an obsessed speedrunner. He speedruns games like Super Mario Bros, Tomb Raider, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, pretty much any game you can think of and he did break a few records there and there. Bill tried to have Fred spend family time such as limiting his time, forcing him to take road trips or play board games but nothing seems to work, i had to teach him a lesson but on that day, he went to far.
When Bill was driving home from work, he saw a red light ignite from a forest which where my friend Tom lives since he's the one who gives me the trees for when i have Christmas. But Bill's curiosity got the better of him as he got out of the car and went to investigate and he saw 2 girls in witch like dresses like you'll see in a witch trial and the red light was igniting from then and they were muttering some gibberish about the one below cursing the very flesh who played or hunted them and then they did something i'll never think of people doing, they summoned some sort of rat thing and which ran off and as they chased it, Bill saw something.
It was a copy of a game called "Kid Icarus" which showed a angel guy that he had no idea what this game was and it had a connection with the NES, but he heard their footsteps and he took the game, ran to my car, and drove off and Bill started to have a pain in my neck due to the fact he, a caring father stole nothing more than a copy of a video game but he hatched an idea, he'll give the son the game to teach him a lesson. Then was the day the unusual happened as Bill then made a fake apology to his son about forcing him to do all of those activities lately and he gave Fred the game and which Fred then was surprised of this and he asked him where he got the game since he heard that copies of this game were pretty scarce these days and their Bill made up a lie of him winning the game in a giveaway at the store and confused that the store rarely ever does giveaways that one of the prizes was a video game, Fred fell for the lie, thanked Bill and ran to his room to play the game.
Fred hooked up his NES and placed the game inside and then turned on his speedrunning clock and he was surprised that the game was pretty challenging even for a first level which was full of enemies and with a short health bar but Fred was a glutton for challenge as he rushed through many enemies, dodged and snuck through many Reapers, and piled through bosses as if they were nothing. Then after defeating the final and getting the highest rank in the game, the clock stopped and it was a time of 26m 12s but he knew that he can improve but when he started a new game and started back at 1-1, something unusual happened.
The floor started to damage him and Fred got confused as he thinks the game was starting to glitch and then he started pushing the jump button but he only took more damage and then Pit then did his fall when he lost all of his health and then the game then said "I'm Finished" but Fred then reset the game to try to comprehend one what happened but then when he tried again to see if the glitch was their, he was taken to 2-4 but with the other entries to the different rooms were blocked off and then a weird drum like noise started to play but then Fred tried going left and right to try to escape what hell he is facing and the drums got louder and fasted as 2 pixelated girls appeared as they then grabbed the helpless Pit and then the 3 disappeared as the screen then cuts to black as white words then glowed sorta like "I'm Finished" but they say "Are You Ready" and then the screen the glowed red as it was brought back to the same place but it was some sorta boss battle like situation as it played the credits theme in reverse but the 2 were invincible and then they then shot a red projectile at Pit and which he is stuck in his crouching animation and then his eyes then glowed red and then a whisper was heard saying "I love you, you should get to know us more" then suddenly the TV then flashed and Fred let out a scream.
Their it was dinner time and which Bill walked into his room which he saw his son passed out and he couldn't wake up and which the mother, Mary walked in and which she let out a scream in horror as she tried to do everything she can to wake the knocked out Fred as she said, "Please, please, please" and then Bill broke as he then told the truth of his plan which completely backfired on him as Mary then scolded him, she made him have it like a six year old and told him that she understood their son being on his games for extended periods of time but said this was going too far in result, Mary said that Bill was to do what he can to save Fred and which she left the room to get him a bag of chips and a sprite for food so he won't starve when he's trying to save his son.
Then Bill then recognized the 2 pixelated girls, they were the witches he saw last night as they then smiled at him as they know what he did and which the game was cast'd with a ritual several years ago when they were learning their first ritual and which they also explain that Fred isn't dead but rather his conscious is rather in the game's files most notably Palutena's files and which Bill demanded his son back and which the girls then smiled and then told him an offer. They then explain about how he can free his son from his prison which he had to do something he wasn't good at, beating his son's time. They then also explain if he won, Fred would be freed but if he lost, he'll have to give him his will and they'll be under their control for all eternity and which the father accepted the challenge and which the game began with a red speedrunning clock appeared on the far right of the screen as he started on 1-1 and which he held down the shoot button with dear life as he plowed through the first 10 enemies of the game.
Then he then approached the enemy known as Reaper then the enemy let out it's cry as many Reapettes came out to attack but he jumped on a platform thus hitting the reapettes costing him a quarter of his health bar but he kept getting hit by enemies and then eventually fell of the course which the screen said "I'm Finished" but those voices came up again which they say this, "You fell of the course, since your son did die once in the game, we'll revive you." they said as he was brought back and he yet fell off again and again, the more he got taunted such as "How bad are you at this game." and "You really think you can save your son if your that horrible." and one even ranging to "Think twice before stealing something that's not yours." they taunted him but he eventually beat the level and the clock was on 9m 46s.
But the same thing was happening since he never played a video game before and he kept on dying but he then found a piece of paper which had writing that said AuW2e5 XcdF00 mt000G K50Wuu and which he got off the game and which he entered a screen that said "Enter Sacred Words" and which he entered the words on the paper and which entered, he was sent to 4-1 with a score of 9,999,999 points and which after some touch and go, he beat the final boss and then saved Palutena and then the screen started to glow a greenish color and then Fred was awakened and then the 2 celebrated as Mary then returned and then hugged him tight and then something bad was about to happen.
During around a slight 3:00am, Bill woke up as he was tied to the ground with a demonic symbol under him and the 2 witches stared at him and then said in a eeree voice "You really think you can cheat your way though the course, that wasn't part of the deal you sick, twisted, man, your sinful act would make a perfect lunch for our pet" then the 2 started chanting their little ritual until a gunshot was heard as the 2 then run off as they were frightened by loud noises. Then it was a police officer as he then cut the ropes off and then Bill got back up and then stared at the cop as he then pointed at his car as if he wanted him to get in.
"So your were the one to take that game?" The cop asked, "Uh, yeah i did, and what were with those 2 teens?" Bill admitted but he also wanted to know more about those 2 troublemakers. "Oh, you mean Rose and Violet, they been wanted since they were 12 due to cursing their own school and they had been on the run ever since and they were the one who stole that game which they also cursed with their own drip of blood." The cop explained as he was driving him back to his home. "And futher more, you did steal something but since it was a cursed object of theirs, i'll let you off with a warning, but stay away from that forest until we get further information." The cop also explained as he then got him outta the car to his house and drove off.
On the next day, Bill apologized for what he did to Fred and he got him a gift, it was a Nintendo Gamecube with Super Mario Sunshine as Fred then forgave him knowing that his dad was sorry enough but as they walked off to play the game, it was the 2 girls, Rose and Violet as they stared at his house as they then just muttered, "Time to finish what we started".
