Trollpasta Wiki:User blog:LOLSKELETONS/Revamping the Category List

I am currently in the process of giving the Category List a complete overhaul. I am splitting it into several different subsections based on what types of categories go in them rather than the purely alphanumeric subsections we have right now. I am also getting rid of even more categories, as there are still some in there that I find aren't really necessary/practical. The sections I am splitting it into:

  1. Specific Rules: Very similar to the "Specific Rules" section of Creepypasta Wiki's Genre Listing page.
  2. Genres: Once again, very similar to the "Stories" section of CP's Genre Listing page, only with more categories.
  3. Characters: Trollpasta and creepypasta characters (e.g. EVIL PATRIXXX, R41NB0W D45H, Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, etc).
  4. Video Games: All categories pertaining to video games.
  5. Lost Episodes/Television: All categories pertaining to lost episodes/television.
  6. Grammar/Spelling: Categories pertaining to grammar/spelling/punctuation in a pasta (e.g. "English Class Failure", "Pages with horrible grammar", "Pages with grammar that doesn't suck", etc).
  7. Fail/Butthurt: Categories pertaining to pastas with fail and butthurt (there will be a lot of categories in this one).
  8. User Pastas: These categories are created specially for users to put their pastas in. Sort of like an alternate version of CP Wiki's OC and User Submission system, except it's optional.
  9. Other: Whatever is left over.
  10. Admin-only: Keeping this section from the old version.

...Suffice to say, we have a lot of categories. I might break this down even further in the future (I mean, make this into less subsections, not more). In the meantime, this is how I am going to organize it.


Oh, and here is what I have so far:

Genres

  • ALEINS: Pastas involving extraterrestrials.
  • ALL CAPS: CAUSE CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR SKARREH
  • Animulz: Pastas involving animals.
  • BATTELS: Pastas featuring epic battles and/or have the word "vs." somewhere in the title.
  • Bad Fanfiction: Pastas that are essentially horrible fanfics.
  • Chat Pastas: Pastas that originated as jokes in Creepypasta Wiki Chat.
  • Cliche Madness: Pastas that are chock full of Creepy Clichés.
  • CLOWNS!!!: Why so serious?
  • Collab: Pastas created through collaboration between two or more users.
  • COMPUTERS AND INTERWEBZ: Pastas involving computers and/or interwebz.
  • Dawls: Dolls, puppets, mannequins, and action figures.
  • DEATH: Pastas about death or dying.
  • Deletion Log Refugees: Pastas salvaged from Creepypasta Wiki's deletion log.
  • Demins and Debbils: Pastas involving Satan or some of his minions.
  • Dreams: Pastas involving dreams and/or sleep.
  • Dubstep: WUBUWUUWUBUWUBUWUJBUBWUUWBUWUWBUW
  • EVIL FOOD: Pastas involving food that is very evil.
  • Fail: Pastas made of epic fail.
  • Fill in the Blanks: Pastas where you ________ and then you ________ and then a ________ pops out.
  • FOTOGRAFY: Pastas involving photos or photography.
  • GENERIC PASTAS: Pastas that are bland and generic.
  • Ghastly Macaroni: Pastas written by John Wojcik.
  • Ghoooosts: Ghost, spectres, and spirits.
  • Gods: Stories pertaining to deities and demi-gods (note that PATRIXXX does not count).
  • Good?: Pastas that would be great pastas... if they weren't trollpastas.
  • HAWNTD GAEMS: Videos games that are haunted.
  • Holders: Parodies or flat-out sucky Holders stories. They can never come together. Ever.
  • Japanese Things: Anime, manga, and other wacky Japanese stuff.
  • Jornel: Pastas written in the form of a diary or journal.
  • Lost episudes: HAVEN'T YOU NOTICED HOW THEY HAVE A WEIRD WAY OF COUNTING EPISODES?!?/!1?/!1/@@
  • Memes: Pastas about or involving memes.
  • Monsters: Pastas involving monsters.
  • My little pony: Pastas about My Little Pony.
  • NINJAS: CAUSE NINJAS ARE AWESOME
  • Nsfw: Pastas you really wouldn't want to be caught reading.
  • PLAECZ: Pastas about places.
  • Potty Humor: Pastas whose humor is scatological in nature.
  • Pr0nz: Pastas about or involving pornography.
  • Pre-Trollpasta: Trollpasta-like stories that were written before the genre was actually established.
  • Rants: Pastas in which someone (the author) rants about something (usually something petty).
  • Retards Attempting Poetry: Failed attempts at making rhyme-y words.
  • Rituwel: Pastas involving rituals.
  • ROBOTS: THEY WILL DESTROY US ALL
  • Satire: Stories that make fun of creepypasta clichés (among other things).
  • Seriously, WHAT?!: Stories that are just incredibly bizarre, even for a trollpasta.
  • Shok ending: DUN DUN MOTHERFUCKING DUN
  • Skeletons: Pastas involving all things skeletal.
  • SMOKE WEED ERRYDAY: Pastas involving drugs and/or drug consumption.
  • So verreh skerreh: WARNING: THESE PASTAS ARE EXTREMELY SCARY. READING THEM WILL CAUSE YOU TO SHIT NUMEROUS BRIX. DO NOT READ THEM IF YOU HAVE HEART PROBLEMS OR A SENSITIVE ANUS.
  • SUPER ULTRA MEGA BUTTHURT: Pages containing an inordinate amount of butthurt.
  • Space: Pastas about SPAAAACE.
  • Spinoff Lists: Lists of possible spinoffs for famous creepypasta characters (and sometimes other things).
  • TELAVISHUN: All things TV-related that aren't Lost Episodes.
  • THERY: Theory pastas (are not actually theories).
  • TIEM TRAVLE: Pastas involving time travel.
  • TOOTORIALS: PASTAS THAT TELL YOU HOW TO DO THINGS AND SHIT.
  • Unecessary Sequels: Sequels or prequels to stories that didn't need them.
  • Videos: Pastas with videos in them. If there is not a video on the page, it does not go in this category.
  • Vidya games: Pastas about video games.
  • ZOMBEHS!!!: Pastas about zombies.

Specific Rules

(IN PROGRESS)
  • If a page is in the "Vidya games" category, it is not to be tagged as "HAWNTD GAEMS", and vice versa.
  • If a page is in the "Paukymaun", "Mario", "Minecrap", "Pac-Man", TF2", "Zel-DUUHHH", "Benjamin", "Sonic", "MORTAL KOMBAT!!!", or "Call of Duty" categories, it is not to go in "Vidya games". Also, "Minecrap" pastas are not to go in "COMPUTERS AND INTERWEBZ".
  • The above rule does not apply, however, to "HAWNTD GAEMS". So if a page is tagged as "HAWNTD GAEMS", it can also be tagged as "Paukymaun", "Mario", "Pac-Man", etc.
  • "Benjamin" and "Zel-DUUHHH" cannot be added together.
  • "Lost episudes" and "TELAVISHUN" cannot be added together.
  • "Spongeboob" and "Lost episudes" cannot be added together.
  • "English Class Failure" and "ENGLISH, MUDDAFUGGA! DO YOU SPEAK IT?!" cannot be added together.
  • "Bad grammar", "Pages with horrible grammar", and "Pages with grammar that doesn't suck" cannot be added together.
  • If a page is marked as "Pages with grammar that doesn't suck", it must have PROPER GRAMMAR/SPELLING/PUNCTUATION (this includes having a properly capitalized/punctuated title). Any page in this category that does not meet this criterion will have the category removed after 3 (three) days (unless, pf course, it is edited to meet said criterion).
  • "Funneh" and "Unfunny" cannot be added together.
  • If a page is marked as "SUPER ULTRA MEGA BUTTHURT", it cannot be tagged as "Legendary Butthurt", and vice versa.
  • "If a page is marked as "Oh my goodness, this is AWFUL!", it cannot be tagged as "MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP!!!", and vice versa.
