A New Generation: Director's Cut

A kids movie that was released a couple of months ago, which is a direct successor to probably the most popular rendition of the My Little Pony franchise, Friendship Is Magic. Although the movie seemed innocent enough, what many other bronies don't seem to talk about much is that there was actually an unreleased director's cut of the New Generation movie, but if you're expecting answers by the end, well, there just isn't any at the moment... Now allow me to introduce myself before we get into that, my name is Christopher Smith, I'm into video games, media, animation and that sort of thing, and I also I love making short films and playing video games in my spare time. Now that that's out of the way, let's get into the story because there is a lot to talk about.

It was late into the night and I was home alone as my parents were both out of town for the weekend, I didn't mind being home alone as I just sat down and played video games. I looked at the clock on the wall and saw that the time was 1:00am, I had no idea how long I had been playing video games for, but I didn't think it would be for that long. My eyes felt heavy and I struggled to keep them open, so I turned off my Xbox and decided to head straight to bed, but right when I was about to walk to my room, I suddenly heard the doorbell ring., meaning that there was someone at the door.

"Huh?" I asked myself. "Who could be at the door at this time of night."

Even though I was super tired, I couldn't let whoever was on the other side of the door to stay out there in the cold night. Reluctantly, I walked over to the door and opened it, only to find out that there was nobody there. I was slightly confused as I looked around my yard, trying to identify the person or people that were at the door, but to no avail. I shrugged it off, maybe it was just the neighbor's kids playing ding dong ditch on me. But just when I was about to step back inside, my eyes then peered down to see a small cardboard box that was left on my front doorstep. This was strange because I didn't order anything recently. I kneeled down and turned the box around and on the side is said in black sharpie "My Little Pony: A New Generation: Director's Cut" This immediately piqued my curiosity as I had always loved that movie and was intrigued to find out that a director's cut was released of it, maybe of a deleted scene that was supposed to be in the original film or something.

I picked up the box and walked back inside, setting it on the dining room table and began to rip off all of the tape, As soon as that was finished, I slowly opened up the flaps of the box, only to be met with a bunch of packing peanuts stuffed inside. I really hated having to remove all of the packing peanuts every time I ordered something, but I guess they were used to protect to items inside to make sure nothing would get damaged. When I finally took out all the packing peanuts out of the box, the only thing left was a disc in a blank album case with no label on both of them. Strangely, I reached in and pulled out the disc and inspected it closely.

"That's weird." I said to myself. "How come there's no label on this thing? Oh well, probably nothing."

But it really was something... something disturbing.

I went into my room and put the DVD into my PC's disc compartment and booted it up. My computer was usually slow to boot up and I had some time to ponder over this situation as questions began circling in my mind. Who left the box at my door? what could possibly be on this DVD? But then before I could flood my mind with even more unanswerable questions, my computer had finished booting up and everything was normal, however, I noticed something unusual on my desktop. I saw what appeared to be a video file titled "A New Generation: Director's Cut" So instantly, I moved my cursor over to the video file and clicked on it. Oh how I wish I could take that all back...

For about 5 seconds, the video file started off with a black screen, then it suddenly flashed a warning on the screen with static in the background. The warning said as follows. "The following content you're about to watch may be unsuitable to some viewers, if you're sensitive for blood, gore and other gruesome themes, stop watching this DVD immediately. Continue watching at your own risk, viewer discretion is advised."

The warning then faded into black for about 10 seconds and then showed the scene from A New Generation where Izzy Moonbow arrived at Maretime Bay, but however, something wasn't right about it. When Sunny saw all the earth ponies running away from Izzy, the sound of stabbing in the distance and a blood curdling scream can be heard. Izzy's shadow then appeared from underneath the bridge and I swear a saw a puddle of blood splash on the ground as a nearby earth pony screamed and ran away. Sunny then looked up from being pushed to the ground earlier and saw Izzy smiling from ear to ear at the fellow pony, but Izzy was covered in something... blood. I was shocked at that image, why would they be blood in a kids movie? All of the other earth ponies around began to run around the streets yelling, desperate to get away from Izzy, but it was too late. What happened next was so unexpected and disturbing that it still haunts my nightmares.

As the ponies ran away, Izzy suddenly lunged at them and stabbed them all right in the throat until they all bled to death, all the while, the unicorn laughed to herself as she went on a killing spree. As she went on, she kept on saying remarks such as "Oops" "Sorry" and "That's gonna leave a mark" I just sat there with my jaw dropped as I watched this whole thing unfold, unable to believe what I was watching, I really should've listened to the warning from the beginning of the video file. Hitch and Sprout, being drawn by all the commotion came out of the police office to find out what was going on, and when they saw Izzy going about her little massacre, they both screamed in horror. "UNICORN ATTACK!" Sprout was so scared that he ran right back inside the police office, but just when Hitch could sound the alarm, Izzy quickly came up behind him and slit his throat also, causing him to gag uncontrollably, Izzy then chucked him against a wall as blood began to leak out of his neck.

After Izzy had finished her killing spree, she then turned over towards Sunny who had a look of shock and horror as I could slowly see her face going pale. Izzy then proceeded to walk towards Sunny while saying the following in a demonic voice.

"You thought that unicorns would be nice and friendly, huh? Well guess what happens when you misjudge." Izzy giggled psychotically.

"Please.... don't hurt me!" Sunny pleaded as she slowly begun to step away from the murderous unicorn.

"Hurt you?" Izzy asked offended. "Oh I'm gonna do a lot more than that." As she said that, her eyes went suddenly became a dark shade of red as I could see a red glow around them as well, as if Izzy was possessed by a demon, which would explain the demonic voice.

All Sunny could do was watch in terror as Izzy came closer and closer towards her, tears dripping down her eyes, repeatedly demanding her not to do this, but she clearly had no intentions of stopping. The screen then slowly faded to black for about 3 seconds, before a stabbing sound could be heard, followed by the sound of gagging. Then the video ended abruptly as I was truly speechless as to what I had just witnessed. What kind of normal and functioning member of society would have the audacity to fully animate this obviously disturbing content? Thinking quick, I instantly ejected out the DVD, put it back in the case and left in the my attic, where it has been ever since, probably covered in cobwebs. I tried to go to bed that night, but I just couldn't stop thinking about the video that I had watched earlier, it replayed in my mind over and over again as I could hear the blood curdling screams of the innocent ponies and Izzy's psychotic laughing. The last thing I could think about before I nodded off was how much different A New Generation would've been if somehow, that scene was actually put into the movie.

But I'm glad that that will never happen...
