SpongeBob SquarePants - Plankton's Final Scheme
May 1st, 2004. A day that would seem normal for others, but for me.. the day that changed my life. I was 10 years old at the time, about to turn 11, and I was a SpongeBob fanatic. I had been watching the show since it first released, never missing a single episode. And one of the things that made me love it so much, was that the pilot of the show first aired on my birthday, May 1st. Another reason I loved it was that my mother worked at Nickelodeon as a storyboard artist for SpongeBob, and she would always show me sneak peeks of the next episode being made, since she knew I loved the show. Today was my 11th birthday, and I was ecstatic. I woke up, brushed my teeth, did my morning routine and all that.
I ran down the stairs, into the living room, and saw my mother standing there, holding something behind her back. She decided, since it was my birthday, to give me something special related to my favorite show. I was even more excited. She revealed the item she was holding to be a DVD case, of a special episode, that she got permission to give me. She told me that the episode related to Plankton, and how he was originally just a one-off character that was supposed to only appear in his debut episode, "Plankton". I thanked her for the DVD, then ran up the stairs, into my room, and put the disc in the DVD player. It immediately cut to a title card that read "Plankton's Final Scheme."
The bubble transition played, and then the episode began. It started with the outside of Mr. Krabs' house, and then it faded into him laying in his bed, looking like he hasn't slept in weeks. "I can't keep doing this.. he always tries to steal it.. the formula.." said Mr. Krabs, sounding like he had lost all hope in life. "Always trying to put me out of business.. I can't deal with it.." he said. "The constant anxiety.. the stress.." Mr. Krabs then jumped out of his bed, looking angry. "Well, NO MORE!" he said. "I've had it with that thieving bilge rat! I'll make sure he pays for it.. Except, with a much higher cost.."
He then left his house, heading to the Krusty Krab. Then, it cut to SpongeBob and Squidward walking to work. "I'M READY, I'M READY!" said SpongeBob. "I'm not. Not at all." said Squidward. They headed into the Krusty Krab, and saw Mr. Krabs standing inside the Krusty Krab. "Ahoy there. Listen to me, and listen to me good." he said. "If you see Plankton try to steal the formula at all today, don't do anything. I'll take care of him myself." Then, SpongeBob and Squidward started their shifts. There was a montage of SpongeBob cooking up the Krabby Patties, and Squidward serving the food. Then, it cut to night time, and Plankton was sneaking out of the Chum Bucket.
"Hehehehe.. Eugene won't know a thing!" he said, as he entered the Krusty Krab. He snuck into Mr. Krabs' office, and turned the light on. Mr. Krabs was standing right there, with his arms crossed. "So, it's finally come to this." he said. "You try to steal me formula countless times, and expect to keep on, trying to run me out of business? Not anymore." Mr. Krabs grabbed Plankton and lifted him up, off the ground. "WAIT!!! Isn't there a way we can make things right??" said Plankton. "I've never actually gotten away with stealing the formula. SpongeBob's always stopped me and helped keep you in business, remember?" Mr. Krabs got angrier. "But he was the only thing keeping you from doing it. Until now.." he said. Mr. Krabs laughed as he proceeded to take his other claw, and tear Plankton in half, ending his life. Mr. Krabs continued laughing as he protected the Krusty Krab. But then he stopped laughing. He realized he had gone too far. He broke down, screaming and crying over Plankton's dead body.
It cut to daytime, with SpongeBob and Squidward walking to work again. They went into the Krusty Krab, and began their shifts, again. SpongeBob was excited, as today was normally payday for him and Squidward. At the end of the shift, he walked into Mr. Krabs' office, and Mr. Krabs wasn't there. SpongeBob was worried by this. Then, he and Squidward left the Krusty Krab.
"Gee, Squidward." said SpongeBob. "I wonder where Mr. Krabs has gone to. I'm worried about him." The episode was over, and the credits played. I was traumatized by that episode. I felt bad for both Plankton and Mr. Krabs. Hearing Mr. Krabs scream and cry made it worse. Then, I left my room, and I didn't say a word about that episode.
