Q: Why is it called 'troll'pasta?

A: Despite what some people might think, trollpasta is not about trolling, nor do we condone trolling in any way shape or form. The name is derived from two historical categories on Creepypasta Wiki: "Troll Pasta" and the now-defunct "Horrible Troll Pasta." While the latter was mostly for blatantly silly garbage a la Ghastly Macaroni and WHO WAS PHONE?, the normal "Troll Pasta" category was for pastas that were intended to be read like normal creepypastas up until they would "troll" the reader with a humorous twist. Trollpasta Wiki was originally created as a general trollpasta containment zone since Creepypasta Wiki was constantly being bombarded with both troll pastas and horrible troll pastas throughout its early history.

Very rough/hastily written but you get the gist. Could maybe also use a few lines explaining how the wiki's focus has shifted/evolved since then.

Btw I don't think this should entirely replace the current text necessarily. I'm more trying to find an angle to incorporate this specific information since I don't see this history lesson anywhere on the wiki or anywhere else really. LOLSKELETONS (talk) 08:20, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
